Business Buzz: Small business in a modern world (Without the Profanity)

4 April 2017 | 8:00 am - 9:00 am

This Business Buzz will be an open dialogue format, exploring solution driven ideas and innovative methods to furnish business owners with a creative and thought provoking experience to flourish in business in a modern world.

Julian of WayPoint Training & Consulting will provide a very brief introduction to his knowledge in business, highlight some of the key challenges and pressure points he has experienced, and overcome in ensuring successful business operations. This Business Buzz will be candid, engaging, entertaining and no doubt draw a few laughs.

Brief discussions crammed into the hour will hopefully include:

  • Knowing your market and what you are worth – is it already automated?
  • Getting paid for services – a small take on Mike Monteiro (without the profanity)
  • Efficiency and Innovation in the modern business world
  • The Cloud – it’s not all stormy
  • Business Plans, and why you need an Innovation Strategy
  • Motivation and drive – How TED Talks can provide inspiration

Your presenter:

Julian is an experienced Business Leader with 16 years of Management and Director experience within multi-faceted Human Resources, Recruitment & Safety Training organisations.

After selling a successful business to a national organisation and meeting the earn out obligations, Julian decided to depart this lucrative and stable position to launch WayPoint with his wife Andrea. Andrea also departed a 16-year career in a senior role with the Department of Education. With 2 sons under the age of 5, the risk analysis process was bumpy…. But being solution driven, innovative and progressive, the two are not looking back.

As always, our Business Buzz are informative yet casual and informal. Numbers are limited to encourage round table discussion so you can share your stories, ask questions of the presenter and each other. Join us over a coffee and a muffin, learn more about running a small business and meet your local small business owners.
