Marketing Essentials

Is marketing just not your forte? Do you struggle with working out what to do and feel like the effort you put in isn’t returning rewards? Does all the overwhelm make you hesitate to introduce marketing strategies into your business? No matter what stage you’re at in business, a good review and understanding of marketing basics is healthy for any business. Things change and evolve and you can easily find yourself spinning around and getting no-where. We’re delighted to announce we have a solution. An opportunity to go back to basics with our Marketing Essentials program, facilitated by Magnetic Marketer and Thriving Entrepreneur, Shannon Bush – Creative Possibility.

Marketing is a crucial part of any business as it focuses on communicating the value or benefit you are providing your customers, rather than the product or service itself. Being able to market  by developing strategies that stay true to your business will allow you to cut through and effectively reach those looking for your services.

Marketing Essentials will provide you with good solid marketing foundations you can apply to your business growth strategy moving forward to create better engagement with potential and ideal clients. Topics covered will include, but not be limited to:

Session One – Unravelling the Mystery of Marketing

What is marketing and what is it not?
You’ll learn the power of a marketing analysis and conduct one of your own so you can see where are you right now and identify how it is working for you
You’ll understand the difference between repulsion and magnetic marketing and how you can benefit from others poor attempts
Learn why it is something people struggle with so much and what to do with any overwhelm you feel when it comes to marketing
Discover the importance of adopting and nurturing a marketing mindset – how your personal beliefs and thoughts about marketing may be having a negative impact and what can you do about it?
Understand healthy ways to set yourself up to be a successful marketer

Session Two – The Who and What of Your Business

In this session we explore some key questions and principles.We start with answering “who are you?” and uncovering your business philosophies and attributes and what they mean when it comes to communicating with your prospects and clients.
Next we look at your core message; what you really offer and how to tell people about it
Define product / service descriptions (+ receive a basic copy lesson) and learn how to actually define their benefits, which becomes the compelling information people connect with and make buying decisions on
We’ll also look at who are they (your ideal customers and clients) as we work through actual ideal client identifiers and answer the question “what solution are they looking for?”
You’ll understand the art of Market Research;  how to ask your ideal clients what they want and need and show them you can provide the solutions they’re looking for
And lastly we’ll explore the notion of solution alignment – matching what you offer to what your perceived ideal clients are seeking. Without this you’ll never generate sales!

Session Three – The How and Why of Your Business

We look at how you’re delivering in your business by examining how you provide what you provide. We’ll also look at what’s important about this for you and your clients
You’ll learn more about how you can stand out from in a crowded, busy or competitive market so you don’t get lost or overlooked if you’ve got the best solution on offer
We’ll investigate why you are doing what you do and you’ll learn more about why customers and clients would choose you over someone else
You’ll understand your personal and business purpose because aligning your why with your marketing will create magnetism, the sort that can attract more clients your way
We’ll examine how your ideal clients are responding to your marketing efforts and look at other important aspects of client engagement
 Discover the power of testimonials and how to ask for valuable feedback from your clients
Understand the importance of market alignment analysis and how to see how you’re positioned
Uniqueness and positioning in the market – discover how and why you do or don’t get attention
Valid positioning strategies – learn how to keep them coming back for more

Session Four – Marketing Strategy + an Introduction to Social Media

Learn about the 4 Step Marketing Formula, when and how to apply it to build audience engagement and education and make more compelling offers
Define Content Marketing and how to use it in your business to engage and educate your audience and position you as the knowledgeable person and business you actually are
Understand the philosophy of how you market here is how you market there – using foundational marketing principles to apply to any platform or strategy
Introduction to current social media platforms and their use for different business types and industries, including understanding how to select the right ones for you

Session Five – The Well Defined Marketing Plan

In this final session you’ll bring everything together and craft a personalised marketing plan for the next quarter
Defining a motivating action plan will help to keep you on track and move forward
We’ll also discuss the importance of measurement and how to course correct when things don’t go to plan
Lastly we’ll look over the marketing cycles in your business and learn how to leverage it to better manage your marketing effort and results

Each session will involve an accountability aspect to check in, assess progress, answer questions and identify any issues arising. This will then be followed by delivery of content. Live coaching will be a significant part of the learning experience with an ongoing action plan created for participants to guide and track their own learning. Additional support will be provided between fortnightly sessions via email.
