"A business has to be involving, it has to be fun and it has to exercise your creative instinct"
This year has been like no other in terms of emotional turmoil, economic upheaval, stress and anxiety. If we are to succeed in this new environment we have to think flexibly and quickly and calibrate our mindset to be open to experimentation, new opportunities and different ways of doing things. We need to reframe our threats as challenges that we can overcome. Remember, there isn’t failure in you. Only in the experiment. Continue to learn, adapt and try again.
Our Business Innovators Challenge is designed to encourage this flexible thinking and problem solving to inspire you to tackle your business problems creatively. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to experiment (and fail!) as you work as a team in a number of activities to get you thinking outside the box, before you tackle the ultimate task of modifying and programming your Lego robot to spar in the Sumo Ring.
Fun team challenges and activities
The ultimate battle - modify and program your Lego robot to compete to win in the Sumo ring
Networking opportunities so you can meet your friendly competition
Pizza and refreshments to keep those creative brains going
The opportunity to 'adopt' your own robot or become an event sponsor
An evening of high energy, laughs and light hearted competition so you're inspired to tackle those ever pressing challenges in your biz
Your facilitator – Peter Atkinson – has a savvy awareness of coding, engineering and innovation bringing cutting edge knowledge to the table. Father of two, Peter loves teaching and opening up the minds of children of all ages (8 – 99) to the possibilities of what they can achieve.
Mind Mash facilitates workshops (after school and school holidays) and STEM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) for students aged 8-12 years but can tailor workshops that are aimed at bigger kids too. Mind Mash focuses on building effective teams, solving problems, improving communication skills and resolving conflict using Lego Robotics. There’s always lots of fun at Mind Mash workshops but they also encourage collaboration, foster critical and creative thinking and open the mind to endless possibilities.
