Mental Health and
Wellness in the Workplace
Just like physical health, we also have mental health.
The World Health Organisation defines mental health as a "state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.

Mental health is about the way we think, feel and develop relationships.

Mental Health and Wellness in the Workplace has been designed by Stirling Business Association to empower small business owners to improve the way you think, feel and develop those relationships; your staff, your team, your customers and your wider business network.

The afternoon will include presentations from three professionals who will share with you:

🌟 an overview of the main mental health issues of anxiety, depression and suicide
🌟 what the symptoms are and how to recognise them
🌟 what to do when you've identified these symptoms and what other support is there for you
🌟your duty of care as an employer
🌟 a holistic approach to your own mental health
🌟 anti-stress practices you can incorporate into your every day
This will be an interactive and participative workshop to ensure maximum learning for each attendee. All guests will receive a resource pack for further information and support. The afternoon will also include an opportunity to mingle and connect with small business owners and light refreshments will be served including tea and coffee.
