How government funding can help get your novel innovation to market

The mission of SBA is to assist and support the small business community and holding events for you to foster connections is one of many ways we achieve this. However, the health and wellbeing of our members, guests and staff is our priority.

Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19 the team at SBA have carefully considered how we can continue to bring events to you.  As this virus is proving to be highly contagious and unpredictable, social distancing is becoming increasingly important to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

We have therefore made the decision to continue with this event, however, we will be moving it to the online space.  We’re committed to continuing to provide you access to new ideas, knowledge and resources but believe in these unprecedented times there are alternative ways to do this.

Further details will be provided in due course.

Do you (or someone  you know) have a novel product or service you are trying to commercialise?
  • already at the prototype or MVP (minimum viable product) stage?
  • not sure how to take the next step?
  • need more financial assistance or need to be connected to the right experts?
If this is you - or someone you know - then we would welcome your attendance at this free event.

We also welcome genuine investors and those looking to partner with these companies.

Brought to you by the Department of Industry, Innovation & Science, Stirling Business Association and the City of Stirling, this interactive evening will showcase recent Accelerating Commercialisation grant recipient, Suzanne Dodds (pictured) of Environmental Water Solutions.

Find out how the grant worked for her, what other help (apart from the funding) she received and how she is travelling now. In this special chat with Suzanne you will also find out:

  • would she have got to where she is today without the assistance?
  • how does it work?
  • how much work is involved in gaining one of these grants?

All these questions and more will be answered.

Over recent years, 25 WA companies have won Accelerating Commercialisation grants worth more than $12m under this program - could you be next?

During the evening you will have the opportunity to connect  with WA Accelerating Commercialisation advisers and other Department staff, as well as Suzanne Dodds and other grant winners.

The team will also explain the application process and the eligibility criteria.
